WACO (June 25, 2012)–The Central Texas Genealogical Society heads to the McLennan County Archives on a field trip on Monday evening and everyone is invited to come along.
At 7 p.m., the group plans to view inactive and archival records for the county clerk’s office, district clerk’s office, tax office (from 1880 until 1989), elections, justice of the peace, McLennan County Courthouse plans from 1900, McLennan County Naturalization (from 1903-1906) and the Washington Street Bridge.
The group will meet at the county archives building, located at 824 Washington Avenue.
The Central Texas Genealogical Society meets on the 4th Mondays at 7 p.m. in the West Waco-McLennan County Library and Genealogy Center on Bosque Boulevard.
The center provides resources for developing genealogical and family history searches.
