Recap of Signal Mountain Genealogical Meeting July 3

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society held its annual Independence Day picnic at the Signal Mountain United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Dan Rineer, a member of the society and a resident of Signal Mountain, entertained the members and guests with an exceptional program of patriotic music from the World War II era.

Mr. Rineer, well-known within the Chattanooga area for his musical performances, sang and played an array of memorable tunes including such classics as “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” “The White Cliffs of Dover,” and “God Bless America.” It was a toe-tapping celebration of our American Independence and one that will not soon be forgotten!

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the Walden Town Hall at 1:00 PM. Guests are always welcome.
